Jack's new toy

Daddy found me a new toy to play with - and yes it is not a train! It is a remote controlled car..the remote bit being a bit old-fashioned as it is a stick handle attached to the car with a little knob at the end to steer. I'm still learning the steering bit, Lucy is more interested in chewing it!

Banana-Phone

J and L both love dancing to banana phone.

Unfortunately, L prefers the banana skin to the inside!

Lucy's favourite look

is going to result in a need for Botox in a few years!

Jack and duckie

Dinner out

Mummy and Daddy took us out to a proper restaurant for dinner and we had lots of fun. drawing...

investigating the other diners...

and, best of all, eating. Lucy made a good going of her chicken nibbles and I really really enjoyed eating "chicken off the bone".

More chores...

I had great fun washing the windows in the nuddy...

and enjoyed supervising Daddy while he used the saw. Lucy is not very excited about saws!

A trip to the zoo

Mummy and Daddy took us to the zoo the other day. Lucy was more interested in the chickens and roosters and playing with "swishy sticks" than the animals.

I loved running around and watching/listening to the howler monkey howl.

Sweeping

Lucy loves to help with chores like sweeping. Jack joined in the other day, first (of course) sweeping the train table...

then the floor...

and finally, Lucy! Thankfully Lucy thought it was all quite funny.

Lucy

is no longer our little baby, she's now our little girl!

New train tracks

When our neighbours got a new fridge, we got some neat boxes to play with. First they were a tunnel/playhouse then they became some neat new train tracks.

Back at Kelly Tarltons again

We hadn't been to KT for ages so it was fun to visit again. It is quite a different adventure now with Lucy running around.

Night Night Terry

When Mummy reads Lucy a story and puts her to bed, I do the same for my dolly Terry...

Plunket playground

I had fun playing around while waiting for my 15 month plunket check. The slide was fun but I couldn't find the hidden treasure...

Summer days at the beach...

...continued back at St Heliers. Daddy took us to a new beach called Karaka Bay. There was a big tree to sit under and lots of water to play in. Lucy got her feet wet but preferred to play with my goggles on dry land!

Corn on the Cob

Yum! We both enjoying eating corn on the cob.

Eyewear

Lucy loves sunglasses as much as she used to love socks and still loves shoes - what a true girl!

Jack, of course, sticks to his old favourite!

2 Feb 09 - Lucy's first trim

Although Lucy doesn't have much hair on top, at the back her hair was getting quite straggly so Mum decided to give it a chop. Not a bad job Mum!

Peeeep Peeeep

Lucy and I went for a train ride with Ryan and Jemma - oh and our Daddys. It was great fun.

Reading Time

Lucy now enjoys sitting down with a book - yayyy! Jack still loves his books but sometimes gets a bit restless when it comes to sitting down...

Feeding the Ducks

We thought we'd better show Nicholas how to feed the ducks and pukekos before he went home.

You might be able to tell that I am a bit more wary of how low I put my hands after a few ducks mistaking my fingers for bread!

Bye Bye Nicholas

Nicholas came to stay with us for a couple of days before he headed back home to Singapore. There was just enough time for the important things like ice-creams and baths.

Hanging out with Ryan and Jemma

The hammock continues to be a popular place for hanging out!

Lucy aka the Scavenger

Back in Auckland Lucy continued her morning ritual of eating her breakfast and then begging extra breakfast off anyone that was still eating...

Back home and back to chores

Talk about no rest for the wicked - Dad had me out doing gardening chores as soon as I got back home from my Pukehina holiday.

Lucy, being little, got to play on my bike instead. As you can see, she hasn't quite worked out how it works yet...
