Relaxing in the Hammock

Jack loves to relax in the hammock but Lucy is still learning how to relax!

More trains...

Jack names the trains...

and then "explains" to Lucy that Toby needs to pull the flat bed...

ps track designed by Mum - I'm getting pretty good at it I think!

Lucy tidies up

Lucy loves to help tidy up - especially the cars!

Yayyy Christmas Season

Happy Christmas everyone. We have a gorgeous Christmas tree this year, thanks Dad! You might notice that there aren't many decorations around the bottom of the tree - Lucy, not surprisingly, loves pulling them off and trying to eat them!

I love finding my daily surprise in the "Countdown to Christmas Calendar" that Nana made me. Mum has had to sneak in a couple of extras for Lucy as she wants everything that I have!

The Thomas Song

I now know all the words to the "We're 2 we're 4 we're 6 we're 8 Thomas song" - lucky Mum and Dad! Here's a taster....

A few more steps from Lucy...

Funny Days are here...

I can't remember what Daddy was doing but it sure was funny...

Cuties

We went to Ashton's mummy's house last week and she took some photos of us - not the easiest job in the world especially given Lucy's reluctance to sit still!

MMMMM milk

well not really. Lucy doesn't think much of cow's milk but does occasionally has a sip or two...

Close Your Eyes Jack

This is what Jack looks like when he tries to close his eyes! It's quite funny how seemingly easy things can be quite difficult to learn!

Rolly Polly Lucy

Lucy's latest trick is doing semi - rolly pollys on the little couch. Very cute.

Fresh out of the bath

and look, Lucy's finally growing some hair!!!

MSD Christmas Party

We went to Dad's work Christmas Party in the weekend. It was at Kelly Tarlton's and as well as seeing the penguins, including lots of little baby penguins, we also got to feed some fish. It was lots of fun. There was a face painter who painted Thomas (of course) on my cheek and a Fairy...

Summer Splashes and Nude Dinners

Lucy enjoys the little paddling pool as much as Jack does...

and Mum sees no point in dressing up for dinner...

Sleep

Jack only has a couple of day sleeps a week these days. Some days he says he doesn't need a sleep...but he's not always right...

Lucy does some gardening...

IN the garden..

.

Lunch with the Cronin's

Ryan and Jemma came to play and it was such a sunny day that we ate lunch outside. Lunch was yummy as you can tell from our empty plates!

Lucy is struggling with table manners...

At least she is wearing a nappy I suppose!

Thomas comes to town!!

Jack loved riding on the troublesome trucks with Daddy, and meeting the Fat Controller! Lucy was more interested in taking her hat off...yes, she's at that "fun" stage!

Rehersing for Little Britain...

This one is for Uncle Justin!

Fun with Felts

Note for Beginnners - always buy washable felt tips. Just as well we are not precious about our cream chairs...

Rocks Rock

The rocks are Jack's favourite place when we go down to the playground/beach and Lucy is beginning to enjoy playing on them too. I think she must have been a little thirsty on this day as she tried to drink the water from the puddle...probably went nicely with the shells and sand...

Lucy still has a sock festish...

yes even when the socks are socks that Jack has been walking in all morning and has just taken off at the playground...niiiice!

Lucy's First Steps

I have started taking a few steps - about 7 being my PB! I've been pretty sneaky though and always start just as the video is stopping or before it has started!! This is the best that Mum has captured to date...

A weekend in Taupo

Daddy had a fishing weekend (yes again!) in Turangi and so Mummy, Lucy and I decided to head to Taupo for the weekend. The car trip down was very peaceful...

While Daddy was busy catching trout, Nana took me and Lucy to Old MacDonalds Farm. There were lots of animals to feed, including a day old foal and lots of little piglets and there was even a Thomas train to play in. Lucy and I also got to hold a bunny rabbit.

The highlight for me was that Daddy came back a day early and then took me for a surprise trip to the snow. There was no magic carpet and no pommers but I went on a T bar and a chairlift right to the top of the mountain and tasted fresh snow.

And we took a carrot and made a snowman - or was it a snow rabbit Daddy?

Swinging

Lucy swinging....

and Jack swinging - thanks to Daddy, Jack always wants to touch the wall or the shade sail when he swings...

Happy Birthday Lucy!

I had a lovely first birthday. My day started with a sweet happy birthday song from Jack and then Jack gave me 2 rubber duckies for the bath - at least I think they were my birthday present even though Jack plays with them in the bath more than I do (thank goodness there are 2 Mum thinks!).

I got lots of lovely presents, including, surprise surprise, dolls! I must admit I was more interested in the shiny paper and the ribbons than the contents!!

Mum made teddy bear and pig cupcakes for me and my friends. It took me a while to work out what I was meant to do with it (strange really given that I usually put anything and everything straight into my mouth!) but once I started there was no stopping me!

The best part of my day was when daddy came home early for work and we all went down to the playground for some fun. The day was topped off nicely with a bath before bed.
