Jack's first day at Churchill Park school

This was Jack's physical reaction when I asked him whether he was excited about starting school.  It was accompanied by a jump and a very loud and long YEEEESSSSSSS!

Lucy's early birthday present...

Lucy has her own special reading chair...

Jack's birthday party

Jack had his birthday party at the Whangaparaoa Steam Railway. We all had a great day - there was a fun play area...

but the best parts were the train ride (obviously)...

and the treasure hunt...

The cake (a dirty diesel with some troublesome trucks) was ok too!

Happy 5th birthday Jack

What a fabulous day.  Great presents....

and pancakes and gigantic fluffies for breakfast...

and cake (with a train of course!)...

and a ride on a real train!

Lion, tigers and baby chicks

The lions were lazy, the tiger was up close but the baby chicks were Lucy's favourites...

Jack's "celebration day" at kindy

6.45am and all was quiet...

...so I snuck down to see what was going on ...

Taupo

Jack drew this after a weekend in Taupo.  Jack and Grandad, and Lucy and Nicholas are feeding the fish.  The three baby fish have popped up to have some food.

Gardening

Daddy cut out all the trees and bushes from our garden and we helped him to remove the roots and weeds.

A trip to the zoo with Nicholas

Do we look like flamingoes?

You can't catch me!

Smile if you want an ice-cream!
