Fiji

We had a wonderful holiday in Fiji.

Jack was great on the plane - he was basically glued to the tele for the whole trip. Lucy, on the other hand, was great for all of about 5 minutes. She really didn't like having to sit still!

We were generally up by 6am and in the pool by 6.30am - the only time we had the pool to ourselves! Before our morning dip, we often went for a scooter/stroller ride. One morning we were treated to a lovely sunrise and Jack was very excited to discover that Fiji playgrounds have steering wheels.

We spent 80% of each day in the pool. Lucy liked mucking around in the shallow part of the big pool.

Of course Jack, being Jack, wanted to go "deeper and deeper" until he often needed saving! His spent many an hour going up the steps and down the little waterslide (or hydroslide as Jack told me the other day - "hydro is another word for water Mummy"!)

and loved it when Daddy threw him about.

Occasionally Jack got tired of the slide and tried to have a wee rest but Lucy wasn't very agreeable to that!

They both enjoyed playing on the octopus slide in the toddler pool.

We had one day of drizzle but that didn't stop us. We wore our jackets for our early morning walk - Mum should have known by then that that was a waste of time as we ended our walk in the pool as usual!

We had fun feeding the fish - they really enjoyed our stale bread!

Dad took us for rides on the kayak...

and Mum lazed with us in a hammock!

We took the Bula Bus to the port and enjoyed eating and playing in the squirty water fountain.

We also hired bikes and went for a bike ride. Jack loved it - Lucy was not quite so happy - she really doesn't enjoy being restrained!

And both Jack and Lucy enjoyed banging on the drums whenever we walked past them

Bathtime was always a hit. For some reason, the kids loved eating ice in the bath?!

Of course there was some downtime. Both kids loved the big bed and many books were devoured...

and here are a few more cute shots just for fun...

Sunnies

Mum bought me some new sunnies for Fiji. Pretty snazzy huh!

If you go into the lounge today...

you're in for a big surprise, today's the day the animals have their picnic!

Jack's tracks

Jack now builds his own tracks. Here's one he did all by himself...
