Another big hit was the Cadbury factory tour - or to be precise the goody bag from the tour! Jack continues to ask for chocolate factory chocolate every morning/afternoon tea.

As Jack will tell you, the hats are to stop the chocolate from getting hairy...

The libraries were also a favourite spot - I think we went 4 times in 6 days - they kids were very happy when they found Thomas and Milly Molly Mandy books. We also had fun at the swimming pool and enjoyed a trip to the university research aquarium. And of course we had to call into the "second most photographed building in the southern hemisphere"...

Once the sun appeared and the road north re-opened, we headed up to Trotters Gorge intending to stop for the night but...

... so we headed up to Moeraki for a cafe stop (and some colouring) and some fun on the beach with the "big dinosaur eggs".

Today we spent most of the day in Oamaru - it was so good to see the sun and the kids loved the large playground there. Finding a sealion on the wharf was a bonus too.

Now we are on our way to Mt Cook - tonight we're at cute little spot full of Willow trees beside Lake Benmore.

Typical Jack - "why are there steps to nowhere? It's a mystery!"
